Target Participants
Building occupants, workplace employees, visitors and the public at large

Authority
The size and configuration of the facility, together with the type of occupancy, will determine the type and time interval between emergency response exercises. These may be conducted either as partial emergency response exercises or a total emergency response exercise covering the entire facility. All areas of a facility shall participate in at least one emergency response exercise involving an evacuation each year.

L4 sessions are approximately 35 minutes and are a mandatory requirement in workplaces. An evacuation drill must be conducted at intervals of no greater than 10 months.

Subjects Covered
This is a practical session in the safe evacuation of a building; addressing the following aspects

• A pre brief to all necessary stakeholders covering all elements to be considered in an evacuation
• Evacuation is conducted; participants should include all staff, volunteers & regular visitors.
• At the conclusion of the evacuation, a de-brief is conducted for all members of the Emergency Control Organisation to identify any challenges and/or areas of concern.
• A written report will be forwarded to Management documenting evacuation outcomes, staff performance and any recommendations to bring the organisation into compliance if required.

Venue
All sessions can be conducted On-site at your Facility or another location of your choosing. Every effort will be made to provide sessions that can be scheduled at a time and on a date to suit your requirements.

Duration
L4 Evacuation Practice sessions are approximately 35 minutes and are a mandatory requirement in workplaces.

Session Capacity
Session numbers are normally determined by administrative and logistical considerations. Each session caters to the Emergency Response procedures of each individual site. Please check the First Response Fire Training information sheet for any additional costs associated with each session conducted either out of business hours or on Public Holidays.

Confirmation of Completion
Students who attend the session may receive a Confirmation of Completion.
