Fire Extinguisher / E.C.O. / Warden (Combo’)

Target Participants
Building Occupants, Workplace Employees, Visitors and the Public at large

Authority
To operate as part of an Emergency Control Organisation (ECO – Warden) AS 3745-2010 (Planning for emergencies in facilities) states: All ECO members, including nominated deputies, shall be trained to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to undertake the duties set out in the emergency response procedures. (6.3.1.1)

There shall be sufficient personnel trained in all positions within the ECO to allow for projected absences. Operate as Part of an Emergency Control Organisation Training & Confine Small Workplace Emergencies.

Subjects Covered
This training course fulfills the requirements of the Workplace Health and safety Act (2000), Queensland Fire and Rescue Services Act and the AS 3745 – 2010

  • Action in the event of Fire or Emergency Evacuation procedures
  • Bomb threat procedures (including specific search procedures)
  • Methods of communication
  • Wardens duties and responsibilities
  • Evacuation of personnel (in accordance with AS 3745 – 2010)
  • A general description of the buildings fire protection equipment
  • Use Initial First Attack Equipment
  • The use of installed emergency response equipment.

Venue
All sessions can be conducted on-site at your facility or another location of your choosing. Every effort will be made to provide sessions that can be scheduled at a time and on a date to suit your requirements.

Duration
The duration of each Evacuation Coordination Instruction session is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours

Session Capacity
Session numbers are normally determined by administrative and logistical considerations. Each session caters for up to 20 persons with a maximum of 30 persons per session subject to facilities available. Please check the First Response Fire Training information sheet for any additional costs associated with larger session numbers.

Confirmation of Completion
Students who attend the session will receive a Confirmation of Completion.
