Target Participants
Building Occupants, Workplace Employees, Visitors and the Public at large

Session Content
Designed as specific information for selected staff and delivered as a combination theory/practical session.  This instruction teaches the correct procedures and appropriate equipment to use in an emergency in the work place. Participants will learn how to safely react to an emergency situation.

 

The training for First Response Evacuation Instruction shall address, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

Theory
(a)          The duties of the ECO as described in the emergency response procedures and emergency plan.

(b)          Procedures for the specific emergencies contained in the emergency plan.

(c)           Responding to alarms and reports of emergencies.

(d)          Reporting emergencies and initiating the installed emergency warning equipment.

(e)          Communication during emergencies.

(f)           Pre-emergency activities

(g)          Emergency activities.

(h)          Post-emergency activities.

(i)            Occupants and visitors with disabilities.

(j)           Human behaviour during emergencies.

Practical
(k)          The demonstration and use of installed fire extinguishers and other fire equipment.

Safety

  • The lighting of training fires will be subject to completion of a risk assessment in conjunction with the site safety representative.
  • LPG may be used in practical demonstration.
  • Students will be required to comply with safety directions, and wear appropriate dress during fire training.
  • The lighting of fires for the practical demonstration or the use of any Fire equipment will be at the discretion of the fire trainer on the day

Venue
All sessions can be conducted On-site at your Facility or another location of your choosing. Every effort will be made to provide sessions that can be scheduled at a time and on a date to suit your requirements.

Duration
The duration of each Fire Safety Training session is approximately 60 minutes.

Session Capacity
Session numbers are normally determined by administrative and logistical considerations. Each session caters for up to 20 persons with a maximum of 30 persons per session subject to facilities available. Please check with First Response Training Group for any additional costs associated with larger session numbers.

Fire Extinguishers & Fire Trays
All equipment used by the Trainer and your staff is supplied by First Response Training Group.
We may a BULLEX, the Bullseye trainer is in many ways, even better than the real thing.
With the laser training extinguisher you can now train anywhere, any time under any conditions. The FTS digital flames respond automatically to the training extinguisher, going out only if the trainee aims and sweeps properly at the base of the fire.
We may use water or CO2 Extinguishers (Full and/or empty) to demonstrate correct use. 

Additional Information:

Additional costs may be added at the time of invoicing, including but not exclusive to:

  • An out-of-hours surcharge may apply if training is delivered outside normal Business hours (Mon – Fri 8.00am to 5:00pm)
  • An additional per participant rate may be charged if more than 20 participants attend the session;

      •   A charge covering travel and/or accommodation may apply if the trainer needs to travel outside of the Greater Brisbane area.

Confirmation of Completion
Students who attend the session will receive a Confirmation of Completion.

This training is non-accredited. Please ask us about nationally recognised courses
